Our Fire Urns have two ignition designs:
- Match LIt Ignition: This ignition allows you to light the burner that comes with your fire urn with a match or lighter. The burners are also simple to adjust to the flame height you choose.
- Digital Ignition: Larger fire urns typically offer this type of ignition, as they are big enough to accommodate the components of this system. Simply light your fire urn with a single touch of a button.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I turn off my feature when I’m no longer using my fire urn?
You can put out the flames using the shut off valve that is connected to your burner and/or ignition system. If you have an automated or push button ignition system, simply pushing the power button will turn the fuel source off as well as the flames.
How long does a fire urn run?
Natural gas features are connected to your home’s fuel source and can run as long as you’d like. For propane features, you may need to be more conservative with their use. Typically, a 20 gallon propane tank can power a fire feature for 3-4 hours depending on the BTU output of your burner.
Can I move my fire urn easily?
Our fire urns are crafted from weather resistant glass fiber reinforced concrete, which makes them durable, sturdy, and more on the heavy side. It is possible to move them, but we recommend deciding on a designated spot prior to installation where your fire urn will ideally be a “permanent” fixture. If you ever need to move this decorative accent, we highly recommend using a dolly and getting help from one or two people, as some of our products weigh 150 pounds or more, that’s not including the burner components and media, such as fire glass or lava rock.
